Why I call it The Habit of Art

I will have more to say about the habit of art and Flannery O’Connor—who was also a cartoonist! But I’m publishing this post from the Detroit airport on my way to Ireland! I’m going to try to practice the habit of art by using my senses and making notes and maybe sketches (though I’m on the record about not being able to draw when I travel!).

I’m also bad at sending postcards when I travel, but I’m offering to send some postcards from Ireland to some paid subscribers. Look for a separate message and link with more info. Also the next zoom hangout for paid subscribers will be on Monday Aug. 5 at 6pm ET.

Finally, just wanted to share that we had the first meeting of my graphic storytelling workshop on Saturday, and it was so great to meet everyone and see what they’re working on! It’s an awesome group!
