I am inspired by Parisa Karami’s charming, hilarious, quirky, and ILLUSTRATED collaboration with Emma Brewer recently published at McSweeney’s: Popular Pets Ranked By How Much They Will Disrupt Your Sex Life.

OMG, this FERRET:

“It’s not that ferrets do anything to deter copulation; it’s more that there is an actual ferret owner involved.”

I met Parisa on Instagram a while back, and it has felt like an old-school art connection with late-night DMs and snail-mail exchanges of our books. Parisa has created these amazing are-they-paintings-or-are-they-comics-how-are-they-both mini-graphic-memoirs. They are smart, funny, poetic, poignant, and so fun to look at:
